Welcome to SalamJobs. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our Islamic job platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SalamJobs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our platform.
2. Eligibility
To use SalamJobs, you must meet the following requirements:
- ✓You must be at least 16 years of age
- ✓You must provide accurate and complete registration information
- ✓You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- ✓You must not be prohibited from using our services under applicable laws
- ✓You must maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
When you create an account on SalamJobs, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- Not create multiple accounts or impersonate others
- Not share your account credentials with third parties
4. Services Provided
SalamJobs provides a platform connecting job seekers with employers who offer Islamic-friendly workplace accommodations.
For Job Seekers:
- ✓Create a professional profile highlighting skills and Islamic workplace preferences
- ✓Search and apply for jobs matching your qualifications and religious needs
- ✓Access Islamic workplace filters (prayer facilities, halal food, hijab-friendly, etc.)
- ✓Track application status and communicate with employers
- ✓Save searches and receive job alerts
- ✓Upload resume/CV and build a portfolio
For Employers:
- ✓Post job listings and specify Islamic workplace accommodations
- ✓Search and review candidate profiles
- ✓Manage applications through our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- ✓Communicate with candidates
- ✓Access analytics and reporting tools
- ✓Manage multiple company profiles
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Posting false, misleading, or discriminatory job listings or profiles
- Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users
- Using the platform for fraudulent purposes or scams
- Scraping, data mining, or automated data collection without permission
- Posting content that is illegal, offensive, or violates intellectual property rights
- Attempting to bypass security measures or gain unauthorized access
- Using the platform to solicit users for other services or platforms
- Posting jobs or content unrelated to employment opportunities
- Discriminating based on religion, race, gender, or other protected characteristics
6. Job Postings and Employer Obligations
Employers posting jobs on SalamJobs must ensure all listings are accurate, lawful, and non-discriminatory. Job postings must clearly describe the position, requirements, and any Islamic workplace accommodations offered. SalamJobs reserves the right to remove any job posting that violates these Terms or applicable laws.
7. Islamic Workplace Features
SalamJobs provides filters for Islamic workplace accommodations (prayer facilities, Jummah time off, hijab-friendly dress code, halal food, etc.). These features are designed to help Muslim professionals find suitable work environments. Employers who indicate they provide these accommodations are expected to honor their commitments. SalamJobs is not responsible for verifying employer claims but encourages honest representation.
8. Payment and Fees
Certain features of SalamJobs may require payment, including premium job postings, featured listings, and subscription plans. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers, and we do not store your payment card information.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on SalamJobs, including text, graphics, logos, software, and design, is owned by SalamJobs or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission. User-generated content (profiles, applications) remains your property, but you grant us a license to use it for platform operations.
10. Limitation of Liability
SalamJobs provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the accuracy of job listings, employer claims, or user-generated content. We do not guarantee employment outcomes or the quality of matches. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SalamJobs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any reason we deem appropriate. You may also terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Berlin, unless a different jurisdiction is mandatorily prescribed by law. For consumers, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state in which the consumer has their habitual residence shall apply.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification. Your continued use of SalamJobs after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must discontinue use of the platform.
