📌PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

The Manager Social Media develops and implements the social media approach for BU Motorsport to drive engagement and excitement across global social communities. This includes driving the activation approach and working closely on the development and creation of compelling, timely and platform-relevant social content.

The Manager Social Media should have a strong grasp of best-practice channel execution, an adaptable growth mindset for the dynamic social media ecosystem, and confidence in creative direction and tone of voice to guide agencies, teammates and partners through end-to-end content creation and campaign development. The role contributes channel expertise and performance insights to the broader social media direction for BU Motorsport.

📌KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the development of the overall social media strategy for BU Motorsport and translate it into actionable content, activation, storytelling and publishing plans.
Work with Brand Marketing, Product, Digital, Retail and Sport Marketing teams to develop connected social activations and content for relevant brand social channels.
Support global launch plans around key Motorsport stories, campaigns, products, technologies, innovations and events across brand social platforms.
Develop and maintain the BU Motorsport voice and social publishing calendar, aligned with key brand, product, athlete, partner and Motorsport moments.
Maintain relationships with market stakeholders to support local adaptation and implementation of the global Motorsport social direction while ensuring consistency of brand voice and messaging.
Develop social-first initiatives that strengthen the brand and the distinctive BU Motorsport personality and voice within sport and culture.
In partnership with Digital Analytics, establish and track relevant KPIs, evaluate the impact of social media activities and translate learnings and patterns into recommendations for ongoing optimisation.
Manage social media projects, timelines, deliverables and agency resources with a high level of organisation, transparency and follow-through.
Guide creative agencies and production partners through clear briefs, feedback and delivery management, ensuring work is on time, within budget and on brief.
Manage the end-to-end implementation of social media campaigns, from briefing and content development through publishing, optimisation and reporting.

📌KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Good interpersonal/communication skills.
Experience in marketing campaign development and execution.
Experience as an interactive strategist, community manager or directly related experience.
Ability to manage the implementation of a strategic campaign within the social media space.
Experience in social media moderation and conversation analysis.
Natural storyteller and visual communicator.
Understanding of the digital landscape and all social media channels.
Broad understanding of and passion for the sports and fashion/entertainment industry
Written and verbal presentation and organizational skills.

📌REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or a related field. Master Degree / MBA a plus.
Experience or passion for Motorsport
4+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience.
Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
